Teaching with Primary Sources at Illinois State University

Housed in Milner Library on the campus of Illinois State University, the TPS Midwest Region is funded by a grant from the Library of Congress. It is the only member of the TPS Consortium located in an academic library.

The TPS Midwest Region works with K–12 schools, universities, associations, and libraries to provide professional development to in-service teachers, pre-service teachers, and library information specialists so that they can utilize the Library's vast collection of digitized primary sources to enrich their classroom instruction. Professional development opportunities include workshops, seminars, graduate courses, distance learning courses, and mentoring to teachers of all disciplines.
